my humble garden

Hi, welcome to my humble garden.

In Malaysia where the weather is sunny and warm and with lots of rain you can see flowers blooming everyday.

The challenging part is to keep the unwanted quest away. Just name it, snails, slugs, caterpillars, m
ealy bugs....ugh..

With the children's pets roaming free in the garden, we have to use organic stuff all the way.

We have three seramas chicken: Omar, Cocoa Pop and Kikie and two
cats: Garfield and Blue.

In fact the chicken is an organic pest controller! They just gulp anything that moves among the plants...

This is our new chicken house. Not only the chicken but everybody seems to be so excited about it...its beautiful...

(.....this is Omar, he's the boss among the chooks..)

Well...thats all for now. I'm a newbie here...blogging is something new to me.
I am so inspired to try it out after looking at all your lovely, gorgeous blogs.

Looking forward to know you and your comments.....thanks.

Love,
Zeq

Your pictures are so pretty. I enjoyed my visit here.
I have slugs too. We can't have chickens where I live so what else can I do to get rid of them?

Welcome WELCOME. I Adore your chicken house!

If slugs and other "soft bodies" are a bother use the egg shells from your chickens the 'yuckos' won't crawl across them and if your chooks eat them....bonus Calcium.

WELCOME to the blogosphere again. I can't wait to find out mroe about you.

Hello Zeq!

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit and it is so wonderful to met you! Your garden is so beautiful filled with blooming flowers and lots of green! How blessed you are to have chickens and what an adorable chicken coop you have! Using organic ways is a better way to rid of the pest! Have you heard of MaryJanesFarm.com? I am a memeber. She is a true blue farmgirl who teaches oraganic, and has lots of other ideas! I have every book and magazine she has sold!

I love the blogging world because we are able to get to know people from all over the world, such as yourself! Again, what a pleasure to meet you Zeq!

Hugs,
Maryjane

Hello Zeq, thanks for stopping by my bog, its so nice to meet you!
I love all your pictures on your blog, what a beautiful sky to go jogging to, but my favorite is that beautiful orange flower in that tree and that chicken house! That has to be the best I have seen so far! It is adorable! I want chickens so bad, but I haven't been able to talk my husband into thinking we should have chickens too! I hate those darn slugs too, since I have a Desert Turtle and dogs and can't put down poision, I kill them with salt! When the salt get on them, they bubble and die away! I sprinkle salt around where I know they are and the next thing you know, all the snails and slugs are dead! My husband laughs at me because when it rains and all the slugs come out to play in the morning, I am out there in my pajamas with a container of salt sprinkling them!
Welcome to the blog world. You will have so much fun, its so much fun to meet wonderful ladies with the same interests all over the world!

Beautiful blooms on that red & pink flower. I never thought of chickens as being a natural pesticide. I would love to have chickens, but my dog would drive them crazy. lol
